BOSTON - Two police officers were shot in east Boston while they were responding to a call about a man with a gun on Wednesday (Oct 12).
One officer was shot in the groin and the other in the leg, Boston Globe reported, citing WHDH-TV station. Both were expected to survive, according to the report.
It said one suspect is dead and a second suspect was believed to have been barricaded inside a home.
"Officers were responding to call for a person with a gun at 136 Gladstone Street at 10.51 pm when officers came under fire,'' the Boston Police Department said in a tweet.
The police issued a shelter-in-place order for the area of Gladstone Street, but lifted it shortly after midnight local time.
