WASHINGTON - Now that the historic US-North Korea summit in Singapore is over, United States President Donald Trump is busy trying to convince sceptics on Capitol Hill that the meeting has resulted in success.
He kept up a barrage of tweets as he flew back to the US on Air Force One via Guam and Hawaii. "The World has taken a big step back from potential Nuclear catastrophe!" one tweet read. "No more rocket launches, nuclear testing or research! The hostages are back home with their families. Thank you to Chairman Kim, our day together was historic!"
