Some 250 Singaporeans living in the United States celebrated Chinese New Year with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Saturday, as he spent the third day of his working visit to the US West Coast meeting overseas Singaporeans.

He had a dialogue with Singaporean technology professionals and attended a Chinese New Year reception in San Francisco organised by the Overseas Singaporean Unit at San Francisco's Fairmont hotel.

Mr Lee's visit to San Francisco has also featured meetings with the leaders of Tesla, Apple, Google and Facebook.

He wrapped up the San Francisco leg of his visit yesterday and will attend the US-Asean summit in Sunnylands estate in Palm Springs today and tomorrow.
