WASHINGTON - In a damaging testimony delivered live on television on Wednesday (Nov 20), US Ambassador Gordon Sondland directly pointed to President Donald Trump as the hand behind what he called a pressure campaign to get Ukraine to carry out investigations that could benefit him politically.

What was more, "everyone was in the loop", said Mr Sondland, adding that he and other top officials worked with Mr Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani on Ukraine matters "at the express direction of the President of the United States".
