Republican John Ratcliffe backed the President in Mueller hearing
President Donald Trump has named third-term Texas Republican Congressman John Ratcliffe as his new intelligence chief, replacing Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats, 76, who had resigned over the weekend.
The appointment of the 53-year-old former prosecutor has to be confirmed by the Senate.
