Firefighters lowering a car from a nine-storey carpark in Austin, Texas, on Friday after the driver broke through protective wires while parking on the roof.

The vehicle avoided crashing to the ground when one of the wires attached itself to the axle.

The driver was able to crawl out of the sun roof of the vehicle and get back inside the garage without injury. Firemen credited his miraculous escape to wearing a seat belt.

The car, however, was badly damaged.
