Firefighters save bear cub from forest fire in Florida

On Thursday (April 7), firefighters in Lake County, Florida saved a bear cub from a forest fire. Lake Country Fire spokesperson, Kelly Lassolette, stated, “a resident in the area saw the bear and brought it to the attention of the firefighters, and they were able to get the bear out.” According to officials, the bear had been slightly burned on his face and paws, but overall he was okay. The Florida Fish and Wildlife faculty now has a goal of nurturing the bear until it is better and then releasing him into the wild.
