WASHINGTON - US Secretary of State Antony Blinken's trip this week to South-east Asia, though cut short, capped a flurry of visits to the region by top US officials.

But there remains one shoe left to drop, and the sooner the better from the point of view of the region - a promised new Indo-Pacific economic framework to be announced next year.
