The United States Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has backed a plan to inoculate adolescents against Covid-19 using the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. The unanimous vote by a group of advisers to the CDC on Wednesday is an important final seal of federal regulatory approval.
The US Food and Drug Administration on Monday authorised the vaccine for those aged 12 to 15.
