After becoming only the third president in American history to be impeached, Mr Donald Trump remains politically triumphant.

The House of Representatives vote to impeach him was a win that was not a victory. The vote on Wednesday for the first article of impeachment, abuse of power, was passed 230-197 and the second, for obstruction of Congress, 229-198. But it will not carry.
