There may have been a chilly wind whipping across the snow-covered carpark, but step inside the high school basketball court and your phone camera lens fogs up in the sauna-like heat at once.

Amid bright heat-emitting lights, coiled wires, cables, consoles, cameras and sound equipment, hundreds of people are listening to the former United States vice-president and a major Democratic contender, Mr Joe Biden, speak about bringing decency back to America.
