UN weighs sending peacekeeping force to Central Africa

UNITED NATIONS, United States (AFP) - The UN Security Council on Thursday voted unanimously for a resolution calling for a possible peacekeeping force for strife-torn Central African Republic.

The resolution urges UN leader Ban Ki-moon to prepare a report in 30 days on ways to reinforce a small African force already in the country where rebels overthrew the president in March.
