BRUSSELS (AFP) - Ukraine is ready to sign as soon as possible the association pact with the EU, whose rejection by pro-Russia president Viktor Yanukovych sparked the current crisis, interim prime minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said Thursday.

"The Ukraine government is determined to sign the (EU) association agreement ... we are ready as soon as possible," he said after meeting EU leaders at an emergency summit in Brussels.
