Trump's trade policies risky

The United States is trying to use the leverage of the American market to restructure the "dysfunctional" trading system that the White House says harms American workers and businesses - and to force structural change in China to benefit US firms there.

President Donald Trump's tactical approach is often to sow uncertainty. But his tariffs have upset allies, including Canada, which will host the Group of Seven (G-7) summit this weekend.
