ABU DHABI (AFP) - Syrian regime forces have probably used chemical weapons on a small scale, US Defence Secretary Chuck Hagel told reporters in the United Arab Emirates on Thursday, citing US intelligence agencies.

The United States has already warned that any use or transfer of chemical weapons in Syria would cross a "red line" and could trigger military action.
