Survivor found in Italy cargo ship crash, 7 dead: Reports

ROME (AFP) - Italian emergency workers on Wednesday found a badly injured man in the rubble of a control tower in the port of Genoa that was destroyed by a container ship in a night-time accident that killed at least seven people, media reports said.

The man worked as a telephone operator and was named by local daily Il Secolo XIX as 50-year-old Maurizio Potenza. Contacted by AFP, the local fire brigade could not confirm the discovery.
