British Prime Minister Theresa May's government is grappling with a major constitutional crisis after a surprise ruling by the Speaker of Parliament prevented Mrs May from continuing to seek approval for her Brexit deal.
The ruling on Monday came ahead of tomorrow's European Union summit, at which Mrs May is planning to ask leaders of the other 27 EU member states for more time to extricate Britain from Europe.
