WASHINGTON (AFP) - "Several" people have been injured in a shooting at a shopping mall in Columbia, Maryland, a suburb of Washington, various US television stations reported on Saturday.

News reports said that the mall, located about 45 minutes outside the US capital, was on "lockdown" because of an "active shooter situation".
