MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia is training military officers from Syria in the use of anti-aircraft missile systems, but has not begun instructing them to use the advanced S-300 system, the Interfax news agency reported on Wednesday, citing a Russian military source.
Russia has said it will not bend to Western pressure to scrap a contract to sell Syria S-300s, but Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday that the missiles have not yet been sent to Syria.
