GENEVA (AFP) - A four-man team of robbers made off with jewels and watches worth hundreds of thousands of euros in a brazen, daytime armed robbery of one of Zurich's most prominent watch stores on Saturday, Swiss police said.

The robbers smashed glass cases and threatened staff with guns as they helped themselves to jewellery and luxury watches before racing off in a getaway car, a police statement said.

Their abandoned vehicle was found later in a back alley.

The exact amount stolen was not given.
