Renewed US sanctions on Iran likely to impact India

The US decision to reimpose sanctions on Iran could impact not only India's oil imports, but also its strategic interests as the move could potentially disrupt projects with Iran that will open up crucial transport routes to Central Asia and Europe.

Though the Indian government is still assessing the impact of the American decision, analysts said the country would feel the heat of the impending sanctions on Iran.
