While the world watches scenes of death and devastation unfold across Ukraine, Russians are viewing the war through the lens of a tightly controlled state media and appear supportive of President Vladimir Putin.

Mr Putin has termed the invasion of Ukraine, now in its second month, a "special military operation". The state media maintains that Russia is targeting only military infrastructure.
