Prince Harry in Colorado for paralympic games

DENVER (AP) - Britain's Prince Harry is meeting with wounded servicemen and women competing in the paralympic-style Warrior Games in Colorado, United States.

The veteran combat helicopter pilot plans to attend the opening ceremonies on Saturday in Colorado Springs, meet the United Kingdom's team and watch volleyball. He'll watch a cycling competition on Sunday.

Prince Harry has been deployed to Afghanistan twice with the British Army, once as a forward air controller and once as a helicopter co-pilot and gunner.

A spokesman says he's attending the Colorado games because he believes the wounded deserve recognition.

The prince gained attention on his last trip to the US when he was photographed frolicking nude with an unidentified woman in a Las Vegas hotel suite in August.

The Warrior Games run through Thursday. About 260 athletes are expected.
