Planes crash at Swiss air show, at least one dead: Police

ZURICH (Reuters) - Two small planes crashed at an air show in Dittingen, Switzerland, on Sunday (Aug 23), killing at least one person, police said.

Two of three aircraft flying in formation crashed shortly before 5:30pm local time, Basel-Landschaft police said in a statement.

Swiss newspaper Blick reported that one pilot managed to escape by parachute.

In southern England on Saturday, at least seven people died when a jet aircraft ploughed into several cars on a busy road near an airshow.
