China steadfast in keeping neutral stance on Ukraine
Different views at home on its choices regarding the issue but it is not likely to reverse its position

Some of China's leading scholars are advocating that it acts to help bring about the end of the Ukraine war, saying it is in the country's interest to do so.
They range from those who think the war provides China with opportunities and advantages and that it should not abandon the partnership with Russia to those who think Beijing should ditch its neutral stance on the war and ditch Moscow.
