The death toll has risen to seven Israelis and at least 29 Palestinians, many of whom were attackers shot dead by Israeli security forces and armed citizens.

More than 40 Israelis and 500 Palestinians have been injured. The battlefield has spread from the West Bank, where Palestinian gunmen killed an Israeli couple on Oct 1, to the streets of Jerusalem, border areas in the Gaza Strip and cities across Israel, including Tel Aviv and suburbs.
