Politicians in Israel continue to grapple with the implications of US President Donald Trump’s shock plan to transfer the Palestinian population out of Gaza and turn the coastal enclave into a supposed giant beach resort.

Leaders of Israel’s far-right parties claim to be delighted. So does Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whose chances of remaining in power were boosted by the US President’s initiative.
