Maliki Osman to make working visit to Saudi Arabia and UAE

SINGAPORE - Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Defence Mohamad Maliki Osman will make a working visit to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) this week, as part of Singapore's efforts to strengthen its engagement of the Middle East, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on Sunday (Feb 21).

In Riyadh on Monday and Tuesday, Dr Maliki will call on senior Saudi leaders and officials and meet Dr Abdul Latif Bin Rashid Al Zayani, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council.

In the following three days, Dr Maliki will travel to the UAE to meet senior Emirati leaders and officials in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. He will also call on the Ruler of Fujairah Sheikh Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi and the Chairman of the Fujairah Department of Industry and Economy Sheikh Saleh Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, according to the statement.
