Islamic State fighter from US in custody in Iraq: Reports

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - An Islamic State (ISIS) fighter from the United States was taken into custody in northern Iraq after emerging from territory controlled by the militant group in Syria, news media reported on Monday (March 14).

The fighter, who reportedly has an American passport, was captured near Sinjar and handed over to Kurdish authorities in the region, according to CNN.
