Five soldiers killed, eight wounded in attack in Turkey's south-east: Sources

DIYARBAKIR, Turkey (REUTERS) - Five soldiers were killed and eight others were wounded in Turkey's south-eastern Sirnak province on Wednesday (Aug 10) in an attack believed to have been carried out by militants of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), security sources said.

Militants detonated explosives as a military vehicle passed in Sirnak's Uludere district, the sources said.
