2 Israelis convicted of 2014 murder of Palestinian teen who was burnt alive

JERUSALEM (AFP) - A Jerusalem court on Monday (Nov 30) convicted two Israeli minors of the 2014 kidnapping and murder of a Palestinian teenager in the run-up to last year's Gaza war, while a third defendant will undergo a psychiatric evaluation.

The 31-year-old, viewed as the ringleader, was found to have committed the crime, but the court held off on convicting him until he undergoes a psychiatric evaluation, with his lawyers arguing his mental state meant he was not responsible for his actions.

Mohammed Abu Khdeir, 16, was abducted and burnt alive on July 2, 2014, weeks after the kidnap and murder of three Israeli teenagers in the West Bank.
