MOSCOW (AFP) - Russia's most famous prisoner and Kremlin critic Mikhail Khodorkovsky flew to Germany on Friday on being released from prison after receiving a Kremlin pardon, the prison service said.
"Upon his release, Khodorkovsky made a personal request to obtain documents to travel abroad," RIA Novosti quoted the Federal Service for Execution of Punishment (FSIN) as saying. "After his release, he flew to Germany, where his mother is undergoing treatment."
