Tourists rolling around in the mud during the Boryeong Mud Festival at Daecheon beach in Boryeong, South Korea, yesterday.

The annual festival, which runs from July 15 to 24, aims to encourage the use of mud for cosmetic skincare and promote tourism in the region.

It attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors, with attendance reaching 2.2 million in 2007.
