North Korea could be the next Vietnam - a foe turned friend of the United States that is now prospering after their ties were normalised.

Analysts said that is the message US President Donald Trump tried to drive home to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un yesterday - just hours before their scheduled dinner meeting.
