Franco-German love-in has come to an end

Last week's European Council was dominated by Brexit. But it may be remembered for the visible cracks in the Franco-German relationship.

French President Emmanuel Macron's refusal to accept the German-led majority view to agree to a long Brexit extension is perhaps the most clear sign of an end to the love-in between the two countries.
