Festival of spiritual cleansing

The religious event is held during the Hindu month of Magh, when thousands of devotees take a dip in the holy waters of the Sangam - the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna and Saraswati rivers.

This year, the festival began on Jan 15 and will continue until March 7.
