Merkel starts 4th term as Chancellor

Germany's new government will be sworn in today, after nearly six months of political limbo following an election that returned a fragmented Parliament. It will be Chancellor Angela Merkel's fourth term at the helm of Europe's biggest economy.


Ocean research sailboat in Singapore

The Swiss sailboat Fleur de Passion will be in Singapore until March 25 as part of The Ocean Mapping Expedition, a four-year journey around the world. This multidisciplinary effort, combining science, education and culture, aims to observe, understand and map the state of the oceans and how they are impacted by human activity. It also aims to help raise awareness about sustainable development issues.


Post-Budget convention for SMEs

The Association of Small and Medium Enterprises is holding its Entrepreneurs' Digest Post Budget Convention today, aimed at helping small and medium-sized enterprises have a better appreciation of Singapore Budget 2018. A panel discussion will be held for participants to have more clarity and share their views. Ms Sim Ann, Senior Minister of State for Culture, Community and Youth, and Trade and Industry, will be part of the panel discussion.
