French parliamentary election round 2
France goes to the voting booth for the second round of parliamentary elections tomorrow, in which President Emmanuel Macron's fledgling party is expected to win a handsome majority. Mr Macron's party is tipped to win 80 per cent or more of the seats in the Lower House of Parliament, helped in part by a dip in voter turnout.
Time almost up for Qataris, Gulf citizens
A two-week deadline for Gulf citizens living and working in Qatar to leave the country, and for Qatari citizens living in neighbouring countries to make an exit, expires tomorrow. The tit-for-tat action comes on the back of spiralling tensions between Qatar on one side and Saudi Arabia and its closest allies on the other over Doha's alleged support for terrorist groups.
Events galore on Father's Day
Fathers will get some extra love tomorrow, as much of the world marks Father's Day. In Singapore, events to celebrate the day include a fair for fathers at Safra Mount Faber and carnival rides at Sports Hub Community Play Day.
