US, Russia abort nuclear talks

Under the treaty between the United States and Russia, both sides agreed their experts could inspect each other’s military sites up to 18 times each year.

LONDON - Efforts by the United States to resume nuclear arms control negotiations with Russia have stalled after Moscow officials asked for the talks to be postponed for an unspecified period.
Mr John Kirby, spokesman for the US National Security Council which initiated the talks, declined to speculate about the reasons for this postponement.
