Sightseers visiting a crop circle in a cornfield not far from the small community of Mammendorf near Munich, southern Germany, on Wednesday.

Many people have visited the cornfield with the crop circle, which has a diameter of 180m, over the past few days.

The owner of the field is a farmer from Mammendorf, but he does not know how the crop circle appeared.

According to him, the crop circle was discovered last Monday.

Local police have opened an investigation to try and find out who may have created the geometrical shapes.
