MADRID, SPAIN (REUTERS) - Thousands of Real Madrid fans clad in their team's white colours celebrated their team's Champion's League win.
Real Madrid beat Atletico Madrid on penalties to win Europe's top club trophy for a record 11th time.

While other team members, including captain Sergio Ramos, were cheered on upon their arrival, some boos were heard when Cristiano Ronaldo held up the trophy.

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane had lavished praise on Ronaldo after the three-time world player of the year appeared to struggle through the final.

Ronaldo was subdued for long spells but fired home the winning penalty to give Real a 5-3 success in the shootout following a 1-1 draw after extra time and then performed his shirtless celebration, proudly showing off his muscular torso.

It's not the first time Ronaldo has been booed by Real Madrid fans.

Thousands of fans, many of whom had stayed up for hours after the match, cheered the team on as they circled the Cibeles fountain to celebrate their success.
