Of naughty influencers and not-so-nice neighbours

Instagram users trample over Iceland's fragile ecosystem in search of a photo, as neighbours in London engage in war of words over flowers

Alexander Tikhomirov, an Instagram influencer from Russia, was visiting northern Iceland this month when he decided to go off-road driving on his way to the volcanic Lake Myvatn.

But the vehicle he was in got stuck in the soft clay on the side of the road. Locals called for help, but not before Mr Tikhomirov had posed with the stuck Land Cruiser for a few Instagrammable photos. The police came, helped to dislodge the rented sport utility vehicle (SUV), and then, to his surprise fined him 450,000 kronur (S$4,885).
