British Prime Minister Theresa May has warned of "grave implications" for her country after Parliament in London rejected for the third time a deal fixing the terms of the country's withdrawal from the European Union.

Mrs May's parliamentary defeat almost certainly signifies the end of her political career. She may soldier on for a few more weeks but she is no longer Britain's chief decision maker.
