LONDON - French President Emmanuel Macron has appealed to his Chinese counterpart to use Beijing’s friendship and influence with Russia to end the Ukraine war.
“I know I can count on you to bring back Russia to reason and everyone back to the negotiating table,” the visiting French leader told President Xi Jinping on Thursday at the end of what French officials described as “frank and constructive” talks in Beijing.
