LONDON - Commuters were briefly evacuated from London's Victoria Station on Thursday (May 25) after a fire alarm went off, triggering a security scare and disrupting trains running in and out of the station, the Daily Mail reported.

Panicked commuters fled the station after the fire alarm went off inside the station, the news website said.

The security scare prompted all lines running through the station to be stopped, although they have since resumed. "The whole of Victoria station (myself included) has just been evacuated. Everyone seems okay though. Stay safe out there people," Twitter user Shahzad Chaudhry wrote.

The arrest comes as Britain ramps up security following the Manchester suicide bombing on Monday that killed 22 people and injured dozens.
