Little Saffie was only eight years old - the youngest of those killed as they left the packed concert at Manchester Arena.

Pictures of her smiling face lit up newscasts - and broke hearts - around the world.

Saffie was at the concert with her mother Lisa and older sister Ashlee, who are reportedly being treated for shrapnel injuries in separate hospitals.

She was "simply a beautiful little girl in every aspect of the word", Mr Chris Upton, principal of Tarleton Community Primary School, said in a statement

" She was loved by everyone, and her warmth and kindness will be remembered fondly," he added.

"The thought that anyone could go out to a concert and not come home is heartbreaking. Saffie was quiet and unassuming, with a creative flair."
