LONDON (REUTERS) - Reports of a suspicious package near Holborn, central London, on Tuesday (Sept 19) was a false alarm, British police said.

Earlier, police said they had sent specialist officers to the scene to investigate, a spokeswoman said.

Pictures on Twitter had showed several police cars and officers in the cordoned-off street.
