British Prime Minister Theresa May looks set to face an electoral rebuff today as tens of millions of voters take part in elections to decide the composition of England's local authorities.

The polls give voters the first chance to pass judgment on her government's handling of the separation negotiations from the European Union (EU), and all indications are that they will give her the thumbs down. The only question is just how big the drubbing will be.
