A British MP who posted a photograph of himself walking along a beach in an open-neck shirt minus his glasses on his Facebook page has become the subject of ridicule on social media after a series of hilarious memes started making the rounds on the Internet.
Liberal Democrat Cabinet minister Danny Alexander has since been pictured on the moon, in Tiananmen Square, in the wild with a shirtless Russian President Vladimir Putin, and striding across America with movie character Forrest Gump, among other things.
One Twitter user challenged him to come up with his own contemporary easy listening album and to use the photo for the cover.
Even his own party got in on the fun on Twitter (see below), posting four memes of Mr Alexander, including with ET, under the header: "Just joining in on the #DannysWalks fun!"
