LONDON – Just 15 months after British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and his Labour Party won a landslide electoral victory, the annual gathering of his supporters, held this week in the northern English city of Liverpool, should have been an occasion for jubilation.
Yet, instead of basking in glory, Mr Starmer arrived at the Liverpool conference fighting for his political survival.
